白泥の茶用砂铫壺は、伝統的な湯沸かし器であり、その歴史は明代・清代にまで遡ります。主な産地は中国の閩南地域、特に福州周辺で、清代には技術と人気の両面で最盛期を迎えました。
本品は天然の白泥を主原料とし、人工的な加工を施さず、素材本来の鉱物成分を保っています。白泥には天然の砂分が多く含まれており、その特性により優れた通気性を持ちます。この通気性が湯の質を高め、まろやかで柔らかく、ほのかな甘みを引き出します。これが砂铫壺で湯を沸かす魅力であり、茶文化の中で高く評価される理由でもあります。

About the Sandiao Kettle
The white clay sandiao kettle is a traditional water-heating vessel with a history dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Its primary production area is in southern Fujian, China, particularly around Fuzhou, where it reached peak craftsmanship and popularity during the Qing period.
This kettle is made from natural white clay, preserving its original mineral composition without artificial processing. The clay contains a high amount of natural sand, giving the vessel excellent breathability. This characteristic enhances the quality of the water, producing a smoother, softer, and slightly sweeter taste—one of the key reasons sandiao kettles are highly valued in tea culture.
In addition, this type of clay predates the use of industrial lithium-based materials. As a natural ceramic clay, it is sensitive to strong heat; excessive charcoal fire may cause cracking.
