苧麻は、植物の茎皮から採れる繊維。
まっすぐで軽く、どこか草の気配を残しています。

綿のように水を留めることはありません。
落ちた水は、すぐに離れていきます。

茶席では、水の音は短く。落ちて、消える。広がらず、留まらない。
卓はすぐに整い、布もまた、乾いた表情に戻ります。湿りもなく、滞りもない。
