作品について
自然から質感と相似点、日本の民藝の精神を用いて土で詩を描くように、陶芸作品を作ります。現在は「歩月」、「夜霧」、「遍在」のシリーズを制作しています。あらゆるシリーズには詩も添えています。
― 歩月 ―
静謐な白の基調に優しい淡緑の雫を表し、
流れる光と影に、
夢の中で陶酔に月をしっぽり歩く。
― 夜霧 ―
水は流れ、緑は咲く。
夜の霧は霜のよう。
夢の中で陶酔に月をしっぽり歩く。
― 遍在 ―
夕日が沈み、星々が昇り、
土は眠り、目覚め、成長し、
水は流れ、緑は咲く。
遍在と今、出会う。
今回の作品は京都の静寂な風景の中でインスピレーションを受けた作品を展示します。信楽土などを用いて、時間の流れを含み、呼吸と温度が満ち、布や新聞などで5種類以上の釉薬で違う表情の日常的な器を手作りしました。

About the Work
Drawing inspiration from nature and embracing the spirit of Japanese Mingei, Lo Yik Sze creates ceramic works as if painting poems with clay. She is currently working on three series: “Walk to the Moon,” “The Mist of Night,” and “Ubiquity.” Each series is accompanied by poetry.

The gentle drips of pale green
on a tranquil white ground.
Amid flowing light and shadow,
walking quietly with the moon in a dream.
— The Mist of Night —
Water flows, and greenery blooms.
The mist of night is like frost.
Walking quietly with the moon in a dream.
— Ubiquity —
The sun sets, and the stars rise.
The earth sleeps, awakens, and grows.
Water flows, and greenery blooms.
Ubiquity meets the present moment.
Inspired by the serene landscapes of Kyoto, these works are made using Shigaraki clay and other materials. More than five types of glazes are layered with materials such as cloth and newspaper, creating everyday vessels with unique expressions that embody the passage of time, breath, and warmth.
